You know the ones. Those decadent, swoon-worthy spheres of deliciousness.

Lindt Lindor chocolates are one of my all-time favorite treats.

There’s just something about the smooth dark shell and the silky filling that make them completely irresistible.

The Lindt master chocolatiers really know what they’re doing!

But did you know you can also make hot chocolate with them?

Yes, it’s true! This Lindt hot chocolate recipe is a super easy way to create a warm, rich beverage that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Making Hot Chocolate with Lindt Lindor Chocolates

I’m a big fan of hot chocolate, and I tend to enjoy some form of it year-round.

Whether I’m enjoying frozen hot chocolate in the summer or creating a warm cup of hot chocolate made with oat milk, a delicious chocolate drink is the perfect way to satisfy my chocolate craving.

I love the convenience of making hot chocolate with chocolate chips, but because I love Lind Lindor chocolates, I decided to see if I could use them to make a cup of hot chocolate.

I’m happy to say that it worked really well!

The Lindt chocolate melts really well and imparts just the right amount of sweetness to the hot cocoa.

How to Make Creamy Lindt Hot Chocolate

It’s super easy to make this delicious, chocolatey treat.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Lindt Lindor truffles
  • Milk
  • Heavy cream

How to Make it:

Chop the chocolate. You’ll want to coarsely chop the Lindt truffles, which will help them melt faster.

You can use any variety that you like—milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate. I used a combination of milk, dark, and extra dark.

Add the chocolate pieces to a mug or coffee cup.

Heat the milk and cream. Add the cold milk and cream to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, until it’s gently simmering and bubbles have formed around the edges.

You don’t want it to boil, but you do want it to be very hot.

Mix together. Pour the hot milk and cream into the mug, directly over the chocolate pieces.

Allow the mixture to sit for a minute or two. Give it a stir, then let it sit for another minute or two. The heat from the milk will melt the chocolate.

Stir and serve. Give it a final stir, then serve as desired! Feel free to top with marshmallows or whipped cream if you’d like!

Notes and Adaptations:

  • Feel free to use any variety of Lindor truffle. If you want a richer chocolate flavor, I recommend sticking with milk or dark chocolate. If you want a less intense flavor, use some with white chocolate truffle filling. Or create your own perfect blend!
  • You can use more chocolate if you prefer a sweeter concoction, or stir in a bit of sugar.
